After much fruitless searching and beating my head against why certain events looked like they were being fired when they shouldn't have been, I finally found a image of the fulll ASP.NET 2.0 Page lifecycle, and seriously, it's well worth becoming familiar with this one; it's saved me a huge amount of time and effort.
